One Saudi soldier was killed when a Saudi border guards center in Jazan Region was subjected to heavy fire and military shells from the Yemeni territories.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the security spokesman for the Interior Ministry said on Monday that security authorities exchanged fire with hostile elements and controlled the situation with support of the ground forces.

The incident resulted in the death of soldier Abed Bakri Abdullah Qaisi, the spokesman added.
