A Saudi soldier was killed in Jazan region in southern the kingdom when one of the border centers came under fire from inside the Yemeni territories.

The security spokesman for the Saudi Interior Ministry said that fire was exchanged between the two sides so as to control the situation.

Meanwhile, the Saudi southern borders were exposed to attacks by the Houthis and loyalists to ousted Yemeni president Ali Abdullah Saleh leaving some military personnel and civilians dead and injured.
