Fahd bin Abdul Mohsen al Zaid

Saudi Arabia will send a delegation to Baghdad this week to coordinate with the Iraqi side on reopening its embassy and consulate.
A technical delegation from the Saudi Foreign Ministry will visit Iraq for coordination on reopening the embassy in Baghdad and consulate in Erbil, an official source at the ministry said.
Saudi Arabia severed diplomatic ties with Iraq in 1990 after Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait. However, in 2012, Riyadh appointed Fahd bin Abdul Mohsen al Zaid as a non-resident ambassador to Baghdad.
