Education Ministry announced that Tuesday and Wednesday are days off in schools of the governorates witnessing the runoffs of the second round of the parliamentary elections.

The runoffs cover the governorates of Cairo, Qalioubia, Daqahliya, Menufiya, Gharbiya, Kafr el Sheikh, Sharqiya, Damietta, Port Said, Ismailia, Suez, North Sinai and South Sinai.

A total of 37,141 Egyptian expatriates voted in the first phase of the second phase that took place between November 21 and 23 for Egyptians abroad and in the country. This marks an increase of around 22 percent compared to expat votes in the first stage in October.
