Iraqi security forces, backed by Iraqi warplanes and US-led coalition aircraft, killed on Wednesday scores of Daesh militants in operations in the Iraqi governorates of Anbar, Saladin and Nineveh.
Dozens of Daesh terrorists were slain in 12 sorties carried out by the US-led coalition aircraft in separate areas in Anbar and Saladin governorates, the war media cell of the Iraqi Joint Operations Command said in a statement.
Also, seven hotbeds, two car bombs, medium-range and heavy weapons, as well as military equipment were all destroyed in the operations, the statement added.
Furthermore, the Iraqi warplanes staged 27 air raids that led to the killing of ten terrorists, according to the statement.
Forces of Baghdad Operations Command have combed some areas around the Iraqi capital, killed two Daesh fighters and arrested some others on charges of mounting terror attacks and possessing weapons, ammunition and explosives.
Forces of Anbar Operations Command, for their part, continued scouring two areas in Ramadi and Anbar where a number of explosive charges were defused.
Six terrorists were killed in the crackdown that targeted Malahma district in Anbar governorate.
