Security agencies continued dealing blows to terror groups across the country and arrested an element who contacted the terrorist group Daesh which works in Syria and Iraq.

A security source told MENA on Wednesday that the element who was identified as Abdel Qader from a village in Belqas town in Daqahlia governorate in northern Egypt, was arrested with amounts of funds, a laptop and two mobile phone in his possession.

The source said that the arrested revealed during a probe with him that he contacted a Daesh cell in Turkey and Iraq through the whatsApp to recruit terrorists and carry out attacks against the army and police.
