Alexandria security forces stepped up security around all churches to secure Copts' celebrations of Christmas.
The forces placed iron barricades in the streets where churches are located with sappers being deployed around these places to deal with any dubious objects.
More patrols were also deployed on streets to firmly handle anyone trying to disrupt Copts' celebrations
