Security forces in the Upper Egypt governorate of Qena continued early Thursday their wide-scale security campaigns against merchants and holders of unlicensed weapons.
During the campaign, about 14 people were arrested with unlicensed machine guns, guns and pistols in their possession, Qena Security Chief Salah-Eddin Hassan said.
Security forces managed to seize 17 weapons across the governorate in less than 24 hours.
