Cairo security directorate launched on Monday a new security campaign to restore order in the capital's streets.

The campaign which was ordered by Minister of Interior Magdy Abdel Gaffar, covered areas and, bridges, squares across Cairo.

During the campaign, security men removed encroachments on roads and arrested violating street vendors and impounded some illegal parking lots.
