Gharbia security chief Osama Bedeir on Saturday denied reports on finding a bomb on a Mahalla railway.
Security bodies reported that a dubious object was found, so police cordoned off the scene, and bomb disposal experts combed the area, Bedeir said.
The dubious object was found to be free of explosives, he added.
