Security forces in Daqahliya on Thursday managed to identify a terror cell comprising five people who targeted state facilities and arrested two of the suspects.
The two were arrested last week while attempting to explode an electricity transformer with a bomb and Molotov cocktails.
Questioned by police, the two confessed to forming a terror cell with three others and renting a flat in Senbellaween, Dakahliya, where they made explosive materials to hit high voltage pylons, electricity transformers and police vehicle and personnel.
A wide-scale operation was launched to arrest the remaining suspects.
