Security measures have been beefed up in the province of Kafr el-Sheikh in preparation for protests called for by the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood group.
Security checkpoints were deployed at the entrances of the province.
Police will decisively confront any bid to trigger riots, security chief Abdel Rahman Sharaf said.
