Security measures beefed up in Suez in preparation for securing the police stations and public facilities ahead of the anniversary of the June 30 Revolution.

In statements on Monday, Head of Sohag Security Directorate Ibrahim Saber said that a security plan was set to secure the governorate after the assassination of Prosecutor General Hesham Barakat.

He added that police stations are currently equipped with heavy weapons to protect it from any expected attacks, adding that he gave orders to strictly deal with any attempt to attack police stations and vital facilities.
