Suez security forces on Friday stepped up their presence at the vital facilities in Suez including the southern entrance of the Suez Canal, Suez courts complex and Suez security directorate, a security official said.
The security forces are heavily policing Ahmed Hamdy Tunnel that links Suez with Sinai.
Police patrols have been deployed on main streets and squares in Suez, Suez Security Director Tareq el Gazzar said in statements.
He added that police forces are deployed on Suez streets 24 hours a day to arrest outlaws and terrorist elements.
