Minister of Civil Aviation Hosam Kamal held an expanded security meeting on Tuesday with members of the security committee entrusted with securing the airports ahead of the inauguration of the New Suez Canal project.

The meeting is part of a series of regular meetings to discuss preparations for the inauguration in coordination with security agencies.

The minister decided to cancel all leaves of the airport security officials and heighten alert to deal with any security problem.
