A senior security official in Gharbeia governorate on Friday denied reports that unidentified persons cut off a main street in Mahala and hurled Molotov cocktails.
The reports are completely false and groundless, the city's security chief Hossam Khalifa said.
All the governorat's squares, entrances and exits are completely secured, he said.
