The security situation is stable in Gharbia governorate, Security Director Abdel Hamid Abdel Azim said.

Patrols and checkpoints are deployed in the governorate to secure public squares, police and vital facilities, schools, worship places, railways and electricity towers, he said.

The remarks were made while he was checking on the movable and fixed checkpoints at the entrances and exits of the governorate.
