Tight security measures were taken at Hisham Barakat Square in Cairo's Nasr City district within the framework of the Interior Ministry's arrangements to secure celebrations of Sinai Liberation Day.

MENA correspondent said on Monday that four armored vehicles were deployed at the square amid the smooth flow of traffic. 

The Interior Ministry also dispatched rapid intervention units to the main squares and axes to monitor the security situation there around the clock.
