Security measures at Red Sea ports in Suez, Red Sea and South Sinai governorates have been tightened ahead of the long-awaited Egypt Economic Development Conference, Spokesman for the Red Sea Ports Authority Abdel Rehim Mostafa said Wednesday.
An operations room has been formed to follow up work at harbors around the clock to ensure smooth movement by passengers and cargo ships, he said.
A comprehensive security plan has also been set up involving the authority and security directorates in the three governorates to safeguard passengers and commodities, he added.
