Defense Minister Sedky Sobhy sent Wednesday a cable of greetings to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on the July 23 anniversary.

In the cable, Sobhy said the July anniversary will remain a national and heroic achievement of the armed forces.

Soby added that "after the June 30 revolution triggered by people and backed by the armed forces, the great Egyptian people are capable of marking a new stage in their history by their own will."

Meanwhile, Armed Forces Chief of Staff Mahmoud Hegazy also sent a cable of greetings to Sisi.
