A ship reportedly hit a platform at Alexandria Port and 17 vessels that moored alongside the platform on Wednesday.
Bad weather and high speed winds caused the ship, "el Shaimaa", to collide with the platform and vessels.
The collision caused damage to the platform and vessels.
A committee will be formed to assess the damage.
