Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Algerican counterpart Ramadan Lemara wrapped up a session of talks here Tuesday on the fringe of their participation in the African Union Foreign Ministers Executive Council meeting.
In press statements, Shoukry voiced happiness over meeting with his Algerian counterpart as part of efforts exerted to bolster the two countries relations.
Egypt is deeply keen on coordinating stances with Algeria over a set of Arab and African issues of common interest.
The Algerian minister, for his part, said contacts are sustained between the two countries as regards the issues tabled on the agenda of the African Summit.
The two diplomats also discussed a set of issues that will be raised during the coming Arab Summit, due to be held in Cairo, in March.
As regards the situation in Libya, the Algerian minister said both Egypt and Algeria agreed on consolidating efforts referring to a proposal for taking an action within the framework of the United Nations.
