Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his French counterpart Jean-Marc Ayrault have highlighted the depth of Egyptian-French relations in various domains.
In a joint press conference with the French foreign minister on Wednesday at the end of their talks at Tahrir place in Cairo, Shoukry welcomed the French official describing as fruitful the talks Ayrault held with President Abdel Fattah el Sisi, which lasted more than 90 minutes.
Shoukry said he had a plenary session of talks with Ayrault on the preparation for the visit to Egypt in mid-April by French president Francois Hollande.
He said the talks also tackled regional and international issues of mutual concern, especially conditions in Syria, Yemen and Libya, as well as the issue of terrorism and working on achieving stability.
