Visiting Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on Tuesday conveyed greetings of Abdel Fattah El Sisi to majority leader of the German Parliament Volker Kauder, said Egyptian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid.
In press statements, Abu Zeid added that talks between both sides took up all aspects of bilateral relations along with the situation in the Middle East atop of which comes the recent developments in Syria, Yemen and Libya along with the tense relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran.
Kauder congratulated Shoukry over the formation of the new Egyptian parliament that constitutes the third and final step of the political road map of Egypt that was outlined after June 30 revolution, added the spokesman.
Shoukry, meanwhile, expounded the all-out political and security situation in Libya and the major Egyptian role supporting the national accord government there, added the spokesman.
He also presented the senior German lawmaker with an assessment of regional and international efforts for activating the political process in Syria under the United Nations auspices, added the spokesman.
