Cairo - Arab Today
Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said Tuesday that Egypt's relations with Iran "are still severed".
At a joint press conference with Bahraini Foreign Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohamed al Khalifa, Shoukry said Egypt seizes every opportunity to call on Tehran to adopt more positive policies based on mutual respect for the Arab and Gulf countries' sovereignty.
For his part, the Bahraini minister said Iran is a neighboring country, adding that his country is looking forward that Iran would change its foreign policy toward countries in the region.
Iran should change its approach of seeking to dominate and interfere in the internal affairs of countries in the region, he added.
We will not allow any country to harm Arab national security as it is in the interest of all Arab countries, he made it clear.
