President Abdel Fattah El Sisi had a phone conversation with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan on Monday.

During the phone call, Sheikh Mohammed offered greetings to the president over the 34th anniversary of Sinai Liberation Day, which falls today.

The UAE backs Egypt for the achievement of comprehensive development, the UAE crown prince said according to presidential spokesman Alaa Youssef. 

Sisi praised a recent visit to Egypt by Sheikh Mohammed, saying that Egypt always welcomes its Arab sisters and their investments, the spokesman said.

They also reviewed the latest regional developments, especially the crises in some Arab countries, Youssef said.

The two sides stressed the importance of concerted international community efforts to reach political settlements to the crises in the region to preserve the regional unity of these Arab countries, he added.
