President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Thursday exchanged greetings with a number of Arab leaders on the occasion of Eidul Fitr.

Sisi phoned the Saudi King, Bahraini King, Algerian president, Iraqi president, Tunisian president, Abu Dhabi's crown prince and Saudi deputy crown prince.

The Egyptian leader also received phone calls from the Kuwaiti king and Sudanese president on the same occasion, said Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Alaa Youssef.

Youssef added that Sisi, during the phone calls, expressed best wishes to the brotherly Arab countries.

Earlier in the day, Egypt's Darul Iftaa announced that Friday, July 17, is the first day of Eidul Fitr.
