President Abdel Fattah El Sisi attended on Wednesday a symposium on the relationship between public freedoms and political participation.

The seminar is held within the framework of Egypt's First National Youth Forum - under the theme "Innovate..Advance".

On Tuesday, Sisi opened the three-day conference in which a large number of senior officials and media men participate.

Over 3,000 from different backgrounds also take part in the event.

The conference addresses the exchange rate crisis, monetary policy and the proposals to be tendered by youths in this regard.

The conferees also tackle the Egyptian bourse's role in achieving economic development.

The conference also focuses on ways of supporting small and medium sized enterprises within the framework of confronting unemployment.

The Egyptian president has declared 2016 the “year of Egyptian youth.”
