President Abdel Fattah El Sisi issued a presidential decree to form High Elections Committee under Head of Cairo's Appeal Court Judge Ayman Abbas.

Under the presidential decree, the High Elections Committee will be assigned to prepare the parliamentary elections.

The election is the final step in a political roadmap that was announced in July 2013 after the overthrew of president Mohamed Morsi due to massive protests.
