President Abdel Fattah El Sisi exchanged greetings on Friday with leaders of Arab and Muslim countries on the Mawlid al Nabawi, which falls January 3.
In his greeting cables, Sisi wished Arab and Muslim nations a happy Mawlid, hoping their countries would further prosper.
The president also wished Egyptian Muslim expats a happy Mawlid.
Sisi also received greetings on the birth of the Prophet Muhammad from senior state officials.
