Cairo - MENA
In a meeting with editors in chief of Kuwaiti newspapers and the Kuwaiti TV, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Tuesday thanked the Kuwaiti people and leadership for their hospitality, which, he said, reflects strong relations between the two Arab countries.
Gulf security is integral to Egypt's national security, Sisi said, voicing willingness to protect Kuwait's security, and the Gulf's, against any threats.
Security of the Arab Gulf is a red line, Sisi stressed.
He also touched upon imminent threats facing the Arab world, pressing for Arab unity in this stage.
Sisi invited Kuwaiti businessmen to put their money into projects in Egypt and benefit from numerous investment opportunities in Egypt.
He said Kuwait should be an effective participant in an economic conference that will take place in March.
The Egyptian government is acting to create an investment-friendly climate through a number of amendments to the investment legislation, the president said.
