President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Thursday greeted the Egyptian people on the occasion of Eidual Fitr.

On Twitter, Sisi expressed his best wishes to the Egyptian people on this occasion.

He also paid tribute to the Egyptian martyrs, pointing out that they have sacrificed their lives for Egypt's stability.

He also referred to the new Suez Canal project, it will be inaugurated within days.

Earlier in the day, Egypt's Darul Iftaa announced that Friday, July 17, is the first day of Eidul Fitr.
