President Abdel Fattah El Sisi praised the army for its efforts in pushing development forward in cooperation with state institutions. 

During a tour of the northern military zone in Alexandria, President Sisi reiterated the importance of exerting utmost efforts to meet the requirements of the current phase. 

Speaking after Friday prayer, the president highlighted need for depending on the Armed Forces' potentials to carry out new development projects. 

He thanked the northern military zone over efforts to secure mega projects and develop slums in the north. 

Defense Minister Sedky Sobhy and Armed Forces Chief of Staff Mahmoud Hegazy joined the president in his tour.
