President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a meeting Thursday to review the draft state budget for year 2016/2017. 

The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Sherif Ismail along with the ministers of planning and finance and the deputy finance minister for financial policies. 

The government approved on Wednesday the draft state budget for year 2016/2017, targeting economic growth of 5.6 percent versus 4.4 percent in 2015-2016. The draft budget was referred to President Sisi for approval.
