Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a meeting Thursday with Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn on the sidelines of the 24th session of the African Union (AU) summit in Addis Ababa.
The meeting took up the summit's agenda and means to boost relations.
The two-day summit will kick off on Friday.
The Egyptian president is expected to pay an official visit soon to Addis Ababa as part of efforts to bolster relations.
