President Abdel Fattah El Sisi inspected Saturday morning a security checkpoint in North Sinai and checked the seized weapons from terrorists there, the presidential spokesman Alaa Youssef said.

This came during Sisi's visit to the Armed Forces' headquarters in North Sinai to review with the military's top brass officers the military operations against terrorists there.

Sisi was keen on checking hands with the army personnel while he was visiting the checkpoint, Youssef said, adding he didn't forget to meet police troopers in one of the checkpoints.

Sisi praised the sacrifices of the Armed Forces and police to uproot terrorism and foil malicious plots aimed at destabilizing the country.
