Israeli police at Aqsa

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi telephoned on Tuesday King Abdullah II of Jordan.

Presidential spokesman Alaa Youssef said the two leaders discussed the latest developments in the region, atop of which is the recent Israeli aggression on Al-Aqsa mosque.

They demanded Israel to stop its malpractices in the Palestinian territories, and the aggression on Al-Aqsa Mosque Youssef said.

The Israeli assaults on the Palestinian holy sites will undermine efforts to bring about peace in the Middle East region, the two leaders said.

Sisi, for his part, thanked the Jordanian king for his efforts to protect the Islamic holy sites in the Palestinian territories.
