President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met on Wednesday with members of the Egyptian Olive Council.
Minister of Agriculture Salah el Din Helal attended the meeting.
Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said the council is tasked with developing the olive industry in Egypt.
The meeting probed the possibility of increasing the number of olive trees in Egypt to 100 million by 2020, he added.
Sisi ordered increasing the number of olive trees in the one-million-feddan reclamation project, Youssef said.
