President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met on Sunday with members of the council of Egyptian scientists and experts which is affiliated to the presidency.
The members briefed the president on the outcome of their two-day discussions on ways to improve key fields in the country including health, transport, scientific research and energy.
Economic conditions in the country figured high also at the meeting, said presidential spokesman Alaa Youssef.
They mulled the current changes in the Egyptian economy and markets as well as the movement of investments and businesses.
The president underlined the importance of coordination between the council and other specialist bodies of the presidency and concerned ministries.
He hailed cooperation between the council and the project of the new Suez Canal.
