Sisi: Restoring Sinai by war, negotiations magnificent epic of preserving homeland

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi stressed on Sunday that restoring Sinai by war and negotiations represents a magnificent epic manifesting the importance of preserving Egyptian lands.

"I assure everyone that the Armed Forces understand the importance of preserving our nation's territories and that our homeland will remain protected by the will of God and thanks to the country's loyal sons," Sisi said in his address on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of the Sinai Liberation Day.

Egypt highly values sacrifices of its sons of Armed Forces and police members, he added. 
The true meaning of national unity was clearly manifested in this epic as the blood of Muslims and Christians were mingled on Sinai lands to liberate each inch of this precious land, Sisi said.

Restoring Sinai then Taba after that was a great manifestation of the integration of Egyptian military, diplomatic and legal capabilities, Sisi said.

Any right should be protected by force and force certainly needs a wise mind capable of making the best use of State tools to preserve national security and fully bring back usurped rights, he added.

"I honestly assure everyone that the Armed Forces are from the people and for the people as well as the other Egyptian state institutions that are fully aware of the importance of preserving our lands. We will never give up any inch of our lands and we take all measures to preserve homeland and develop it," he said. 
President Sisi praised the sacrifices of the Armed Forces and Police soldiers whose efforts met in Sinai to fight terrorism and extremism, pointing out that the terrorist groups will not succeed in their malicious plans to harm the country.

The president assured the Egyptians that the government will continue efforts to develop Sinai through establishing mega projects, including an economic zone as well as housing, roads, mining, fishing and farming projects.

He said Egypt has chosen peace as an option to develop the peninsula and find more jobs for youth. 
President Sisi said although Egypt has been passing through crises, challenges and risks, it is committed to its duty in protecting the national security.

President Sisi also asserted that Cairo is also committed to protecting the Arab national security in the Middle East, the Arab Gulf, the Red Sea, Africa and the Nile Basin country, pointing out that Cairo will not accept any threat and will not allow any power to use its influence or schemes against the Arab world.

He also asserted that the Egyptians will remain united in facing the challenges and achieving comprehensive development.
