President Abdel Fattah El Sisi took Friday Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince and UAE Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Mohammad bin Zayid Al-Nuhyyan in a tour in the Mohammed bin Zayid business and housing compound.
The new compound, span 20 thousand acres, will be linked to the under construction new administrative capital in New Cairo, Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said.
It will group several activities and businesses, including financial and housing districts, scientific and medical cities, smart village, fairgrounds, along with services and entertainment areas.
The mega project’s foundation stone is expected to be laid late May, as it is scheduled to be completed in two years, the spokesman said.
Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayid praised the project as a profound development shift in eastern Cairo area.
He said the project will contribute to boosting urban development in the old and new capitals.
Wrapping up the tour, Sisi accompanied Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayid to the Cairo International Airport, where left home.
