President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Monday received Minister of State for Migration Nabila Makram, presidential spokesman Alaa Yousef said in a statement.
The minister reviewed plans of the Ministry of State for Migration to deal with the Egyptian expats, work on linking them to their homeland, and moving quickly to help them in times of need, in implementation of the directives of the president in this regard.
Sisi stressed the importance of continuing efforts to take care of Egyptians abroad and provide all means necessary to protect, support and link them to their homeland, the spokesman said.
The president said Egypt welcomes the investments of its citizens abroad and their participation in national projects, he added.
Yousef said the president tasked the minister to take all necessary measures to find a settlement to the problem of Egyptian citizens residing in Saudi Arabia who had performed Hajj without obtaining necessary documents, stressing the importance of coordination with the Saudi authorities in this regard.
The president underlined the importance of respecting instructions and rules set by the Saudi authorities to organize the pilgrimage seasons, praising efforts exerted by the kingdom to organize the pilgrimage to the fullest.
