President Abdel Fattah El Sisi paid tribute to resigned premier Ibrahim Mahlab and other caretaker ministers on Sunday.

Addressing the 10th Youth Week at the Suez Canal HQs, Sisi said the resigned government exerted sincere efforts in the past period.

He further urged Mahlab to contribute to his country in the coming period.

Former petroleum minister Sherif Ismail was designated by President El Sisi as new prime minister after the resignation of Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab on Saturday.
