President Abdel Fattah El Sisi will attend a ceremony marking the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on Thursday.
The event will be organized by the Awqaf Ministry at Al-Azhar Conference Center in Nasr City.
Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Ahmed El Tayyeb, Pope Towadros of Alexandria and a number of Egyptian ministers will attend the ceremony.
Sisi is due to deliver a speech to the Islamic and Arab nations on this occasion.
Sunni Muslims observe the Prophet Muhammed's birthday on the 12th day of the Islamic month of Rabi' al-awwal.
