President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is to take part in the 24th African Union Summit that kicks off in the Ethiopian capital on Friday.
Sisi's visit to Ethiopia is the first of its kind since he took office last year.
The Egyptian leader is scheduled to hold talks with his African leaders on the sidelines of the three-day summit.
