Abdel Fattah El Sisi stressed on Sunday the importance of boosting cooperation between Egyptian and Kuwaiti parliaments in the coming period.
Sisi made the statements during a meeting with Speaker of the Kuwaiti Parliament Marzouq al Ghanem, Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said.
Egypt is eager to widen its parliamentary activities in the coming period to play a more active role in both the Arab Parliament and the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Sisi said.
He also praised Kuwait's stances in supporting Egypt in the past period.
Sisi lauded the role played by Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah to maintain Arab unity.
He also urged confronting terrorism and forming a joint Arab force to maintain security and stability of the Arab countries, calling for settling regional disputes as soon as possible, especially in Syria.
He also called on Kuwaiti investors to pump more investments in Egypt in the coming period.
Kuwaiti businessmen are keen to establish development projects in Egypt, al Ghanem said, expressing his country's support for Egypt in all economic, social and political fields.
He also conveyed greetings of Kuwaiti leaders to Sisi and congratulated the president on the finalization of Egypt's roadmap after the new parliament had been formed.
