Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi urged on Monday the country's Muslims and Christians to unite in the face of terrorism, saying unity is the only way to crush terrorism, Presidential spokesman Alaa Youssef said.
The spokesman said Sisi went to the Coptic Cathedral headquarters in Abbassiya earlier in the day to offer his condolences to Pope Tawadros II over the innocent Egyptians who were killed by Daesh in Libya on Sunday.
Daesh beheaded 21 Egyptian Copts on Sunday and released their video.
Sisi expressed during the Cathedral visit his heartfelt sympathy with the victims of this tragic crime, saying their families will receive all care from State bodies, the spokesman said.
Sisi said such mean acts violate all teachings of divine religions and noble human values, stressing that these acts will not dissuade the Egyptians from pursuing their efforts to build their new State.
