A large military funeral was held Saturday for a policeman who was shot dead by terrorists in North Sinai's main city of Al Arish.

The coffin was wrapped in the Egyptian flag.

Funeral prayers were held at a mosque in a village of Beheira's Kafr el Dawwar district, his hometown.

He was laid to rest in the same village.

Villagers chanted slogans against terrorism and the Muslim Brotherhood group.
