Egyptian parliament

House of Representatives Speaker Ali Abdel Aal hailed Member of Parliament Soliman Wahdan for winning the post of the parliament speaker's deputy after re-election that took place on Monday.

During the second procedural session today, Wahdan won the post with 285 votes while his rival Alaa el Din Abdel Moneim gained 281 votes from 566 valid votes.

Abdel Aal also called for holding another session today to form a committee that aims to set the parliament's bylaws and another committee that aims to review decisions issued in the absence of the parliament and also to set a report concerning every decision that was issued and carry the force and effect of laws.
