North Sinai Governor el Sayyed Harhour said that a special attention is attached to the residents of Sheikh Zuweid and Rafah, who were evacuated from their homes due to military operations against militants.

Harhour made the remarks during his meeting with a delegation from the National Council for Human Rights (NCHR).

"All services have been provided for the residents in their new residential areas in Arish and Be'ar el Abd cities," the governor stressed.

Egypt decided months ago to demolish houses close to the Gaza Strip on an area extending 1,000 square kilometers to prevent smuggling through the tunnels on the borders.
